Installation

What surface can the court be installed on?

Concrete, asphalt, and suitable indoor gym floors are approved bases. Some customers also use pavers or compacted crushed rock; contact us to confirm suitability for your installation.

Can the tiles be installed over concrete?

Yes. Concrete is an ideal base when it is flat, stable, and free of significant cracks, holes, or bumps.

Can the tiles be installed over asphalt?

Yes. Asphalt is suitable when it provides a flat, firm, stable surface without significant damage.

Can the tiles be installed over grass or artificial turf?

The tiles need a firm, solid base. Do not install them directly over grass or soft artificial turf. Contact us to check an existing surface before installation.

Does the surface need to be perfectly level?

The base should be flat, firm, and stable, without significant holes, bumps, or areas where water collects.

Can I install the court myself?

Yes. The tiles connect like a large puzzle. We provide installation instructions showing the correct placement and direction.

How long does installation take?

Most customers assemble their courts in a few hours with help from friends, once the base is ready.

Do the tiles need to be anchored?

Anchor kits are available for Elastic and Elite Tiles only. Follow your series’ installation instructions for securing the court and leaving expansion gaps.

How much space should I leave around the court?

For a regulation FIBA full court, leave at least 2 m of clear space around the playing area. This requires a minimum floor area of 32 × 19 m. The tiles also require a perimeter expansion gap.

Can the court be removed or relocated later?

Yes. The modular tiles can be disconnected and reassembled at another suitable location.

Can I drive or park a car on the court?

Choose Elastic Tiles for vehicle access, subject to the warranty’s total-load limit of 2,000 lb (about 907 kg). Contact us before using heavier vehicles. Drive slowly and avoid rapid acceleration or hard braking.

Products

Which tile series should I choose?

Choose Large Elite Tiles for high-impact sports such as basketball and volleyball, Elastic Tiles for pickleball, and Elite Tiles for demanding public or commercial courts. Wood-Texture Tiles are an affordable indoor alternative to hardwood.

What is the difference between Elastic, Elite, and Large Elite Tiles?

Elastic Tiles offer excellent elasticity and are recommended for pickleball. Large Elite Tiles offer easier installation and cushioning for basketball and volleyball. Elite Tiles feature a safety-lock system, FIBA 3×3 certification, and a 15-year warranty.

Which tiles are best for basketball?

We recommend Large Elite Tiles. Their larger format simplifies installation, while large rubber pads improve shock absorption and the textured surface provides an elegant finish.

Which tiles are best for pickleball?

We recommend Elastic Tiles for pickleball, including courts shared with basketball or other sports.

Can the same court be used for multiple sports?

Yes. We can combine multiple sports lines on one court. Choose Elastic Tiles when pickleball is a priority, or Large Elite Tiles for high-impact sports such as basketball and volleyball.

Are the tiles suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Elastic, Elite, and Large Elite Tiles are designed for outdoor use, with drainage and features that accommodate temperature changes. Wood-Texture Tiles are intended for indoor courts.

Are the tiles slippery when wet?

Elastic, Elite, and Large Elite Tiles drain water to help prevent puddles and speed drying when the base drains properly. For reliable grip, play when the surface is dry.

How does the ball bounce on modular court tiles?

Ball bounce depends on the tile series and the base underneath. A firm, even base helps provide consistent bounce. Choose Large Elite Tiles for basketball and Elastic Tiles for pickleball.

Do the tiles get hot in direct sunlight?

Yes. Outdoor court tiles can become hot in direct sunlight, especially darker colors.

How much weight can the court support?

Elastic Tiles support up to 1,500 kg per tile. Elite and Large Elite Tiles support up to 500 kg per tile. Warranty coverage has separate total-load limits: 2,000 lb (about 907 kg) for Elastic and 1,000 lb (about 454 kg) for Elite and Large Elite. Contact us before placing vehicles or heavy equipment on the court.

How long do the tiles last?

Expected lifespan is 20+ years for Elastic, Large Elite, and Wood-Texture Tiles, and 25+ years for Elite Tiles, depending on installation, use, and conditions.

Are your tiles FIBA certified?

Yes. Swish Elite Tiles are FIBA 3×3 certified.
